Children grow up so fast! Raewyn believes in recording their stages of growth to create precious memories for you to cherish forever. Raewyn’s fun and friendly approach to her work will ensure that your little ones are happy and relaxed. Illustrating the spirit and soul of these special little people is what it is all about. Plus! An up to date portrait of your children makes a wonderful gift for grand-parents, aunts and uncles. A great way to solve that ‘what to buy’ dilemma at Christmas or birthdays. Tips: To help make your children's portrait a success here are some things to consider. Bring some favourite toys for your under five year olds. They are reassuring and help to get a child’s attention when we want them to look at the camera. Bring two adults along. It is helpful to have mum or dad standing beside the camera position to talk to the kids and get them looking in the right direction. It also helps to have another adult sitting close to the children but out of the shot to help tidy clothing, wipe dribbles, smooth hair etc. It is important that these two people are people that the children are close too as it helps to keep them relaxed and happy. As far as clothing is concerned there are only really two important guidelines. It’s a good idea not to wear red as it stands out much more than other colours and will dominate the portrait. Also, try to avoid bold patterns on the child’s top half, they can be very distracting and we want viewers to be drawn to the child’s face and not their top!
