Special Events

Over the years Raewyn has had the pleasure of attending many events as a photographer to document a special occasion for the family involved.

These events have been as wide ranging as Wedding Anniversaries, a 90^th Birthday, Graduations and Family Re-Unions. 

Raewyn remembers one very special event: “It was a 60^th wedding anniversary and the elderly gentleman whose anniversary it was secretly showed me a brand new sparkly diamond ring that he had just bought as a surprise for his bride of 60 years.  He presented it to her at the dinner, it was a very touching and happy moment for them both and their extended family. I was delighted to be there to photograph the event and the family were pleased to have a pictorial record of this special event for themselves and generations to come.

So, if your family is planning a special celebration, consider having a photographer along to record the occasion for you. Raewyn will fit in with your plans and can usually arrange with your venue to have some space made available in which to photograph family groupings if you wish. Raewyn will also move quietly around your guests while they are mingling and photograph them in candid and casual poses as they are talking to each other.  These types of shots are spontaneous and guests usually enter into the spirit of things knowing that the photographer is there for a reason and are happy to co-operate. Raewyn will also photograph any speeches and cake cuttings to make the record of the event complete.
